DMCA Notice & Takedown

Name Weddings respects the rights of creators. If you believe that material on nameweddings.com infringes a copyright you own or represent, you can ask us to remove it under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Sending a takedown notice

Email your notice to support@nameweddings.com with the subject “DMCA Notice”. To be complete, it should include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  3. The exact URL or URLs on our site where the material appears.
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not permitted by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are permitted to act on the owner’s behalf.

What we do next

When we receive a complete notice, we review it and remove or disable access to the material identified. Where possible, we let the person who supplied the material know that it has been taken down and why.

Counter-notice

If material you supplied was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the removed material and the URL where it appeared.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

After a valid counter-notice, the material may be restored in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringement

We may refuse further orders or close accounts of users who repeatedly submit infringing material.

Please note

Knowingly false claims in a notice or counter-notice can lead to liability for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider getting legal advice before sending a notice.
